Story of Tessie
Tessie, a curly-haired bichon, is a sweet four-year-old dog who came to us after the death of her owner.
She is a very sociable, calm dog who gets along with both dogs and cats. She would thrive in a family with children who know how to be gentle with her. She has suffered in the past from hip problems (dysplasia) which led to surgery in 2024. As a result, she regularly experiences pain and limping. Regular follow-ups with a veterinarian are essential to provide her with underwater treadmill sessions, dietary supplements, and veterinary food to support her joint function. She also needs to lose weight to promote better mobility and reduce pain in her hips. She can stay alone for a few hours and requires gentle but regular activities to keep her in shape.
