🐾 Billy is looking for a family that suits his needs 🐾 Billy is a beautiful 2-year-old Border Collie and Patou mix. He arrived with us due to allergy issues within his family. ❤️ His character Billy is a gentle dog who enjoys moments of affection when he feels like it. Quite independent, he also likes to have his space. He does not appreciate being petted in certain areas or being handled in general and may show his discomfort by growling or showing his teeth. He will need time, patience, and a relationship based on trust to feel completely safe. 🐕 His compatibility * Children: no * Dogs: to be evaluated * Cats: no On a leash, Billy still has difficulties communicating with his peers and can be very reactive by barking and jumping. Once contact is established, he can, however, be playful with other dogs. 🏡 The home we are looking for Billy needs to continue his learning, particularly regarding socialization with dogs, vehicles, and handling. His early adoption unfortunately did not allow for some essential learnings to take place. Therefore, he will need dedicated time and consistent, kind support. We are looking for an experienced family who has already lived with a dog and taken dog training courses. Billy will not be suitable as a first dog. A good understanding of the characteristics of Border Collies and Patous is essential, and having previously lived with one of these breeds would be a real asset. A house with a yard, or even a farm, where Billy could regularly enjoy the outdoors, would be ideal. However, caution: even though he enjoys spending time outside, he will also need walks and suitable activities.
